Description:

Manages all technical accounting operations including entries and maintenance, month end close support, invoicing, customer collections, cash application, accounts payable, payroll, sales tax, daily reporting, weekly reporting including weekly operating report, account reconciliations. This position will assist the Director of Finance with financial reporting and assigned projects. This position is also responsible for establishing efficient processes while building and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

  • Develop strong working relationship between new accounting staff and other departments and managers.
  • Review work completed by AP and AR personnel for accuracy.
  • Convert job duties to the appropriate accounting staff, with help from Director of Finance and create proper policies and procedures.
  • Take on more month end closing duties delegated by the Director of Finance.
  • Ensuring accuracy of accounting entries leading to less month end adjustments.
  • Ensuring accuracy of operational reports to other departments (Leaderboards, Commissions, Spend Reports, etc.)
  • Develop efficiencies among accounting procedures with the Director of Finance for Daily/Weekly/Monthly as well as activity recording (AMEX, Benefits, etc.)
  • Sales Tax compliance and reporting and payments making sure that we always pay on time
Requirements:

· 5-7 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or similar position

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration

· Proven experience in developing best practices

· Proven experience in improving internal controls

· Ability to work in a very dynamic, fast paced environment

· Proven experience managing and producing accurate, high quality work under tight deadlines

· Ability to appropriately prioritize work

· Excellent interpersonal skills comfortable with interfacing the individuals at all levels of the organization while maintaining our supportive, professional culture

· Able to work independently and demonstrate a high level of drive, energy and speed while always maintaining a strong customer focus
