Who we are…

Burns White’s Healthcare and Litigation Practice Group in Pittsburgh is a well-established team that has successfully defending and hospitals in a wide spectrum of complex high exposure medical malpractice cases. The team also represents defendants in discrimination and abuse cases, business litigation and products liability actions. Our work can be demanding at times – but it is rewarding and challenging. Teaching and ongoing development is important to us, and there is opportunity for team members at all levels to do substantive work including court appearances, and involvement in discovery and depositions as well as work with expert witnesses.

Ideal candidates are…

• Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania (required)
• Experienced in medical malpractice defense with 3+ of yrs experience
• Adept at managing multiple high-priority matters simultaneously
• Able to work independently within a team environment
• Professionalism, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients.
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to synthesize complex legal and medical information.
• Opportunities to interact with clients and be part of a team that actually goes to trial
