Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role will primarily focus on managing payroll processing and supporting full-cycle recruitment efforts while also assisting in various other HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain and audit payroll records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Handle wage garnishments, tax reporting, and year-end processes including W-2s. Collaborate with finance/accounting on payroll funding, reporting, and reconciliation. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment for open positions: sourcing, interviewing, coordinating hiring manager interviews, and making job offers. Post job openings on job boards, company website, and social media platforms. Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure a seamless candidate experience. Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and community partners. General HR Support: Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes. Maintain HRIS records and employee files with high confidentiality and accuracy. Assist with employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation. Support benefits enrollment and open enrollment coordination. Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, with direct experience in payroll and recruitment. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paycom) and HRIS platforms. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
