Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAT Certified Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on general construction machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction. This role requires expertise in Caterpillar-specific systems and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics & Repair: Conduct detailed diagnostics and perform repairs on heavy equipment, including general construction equipment, forklifts, generators, compressors, and heavy excavation equipment, light and heavy trucks.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment downtime and prolong lifespan.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and manuals to troubleshoot and repair machinery effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Document all service and repair work accurately for tracking and warranty purposes.
  • Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, providing clear explanations of work performed and any additional recommendations.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure work environment meets safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and departments to maintain workflow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • CAT Certified Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Caterpillar diagnostic tools and software, such as CAT ET, SIS, or VisionLink.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • [Optional] Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
