Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job DescriptionAs a member of the NBC Sports Communications Department, the Communications Publicist is responsible for publicizing NBC Sports’ marketing and promotional activity around all properties, with a focus on the convergence of sports, entertainment, music, style, and culture. The person will also work closely with Ad Sales Communications to effectively publicize and manage all matters related to NBCUniversal’s sports advertising sales.
The publicist will also be on-site, as needed, to support coverage at major events, and will also support NBC Sports’ day-to-day sports publicity needs.
The role calls for division- and company-wide collaboration, requiring work with NBC Sports’ production, programming, and marketing departments as well as other communications departments within Comcast NBCUniversal.
