The SOAS will have responsibilities ranging from promoting Pfizer’s product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educating healthcare community members regarding appropriate use of Pfizer products, calling on accounts and organized customers to help improve patients’ experience and the overall quality of patient care delivered. The SOAS plays a critical role in increasing Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by linking an insightful assessment of the account and/or business landscape with a strong understanding of Pfizer’s products and resources. Responsibilities Promote a broad portfolio of Pfizer products; develop deep knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products. Develop an understanding of applicable customers and markets (prescribers, HCPs, institutions, organizations). Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts; engage in strategic account selling and management. Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive achievement of objectives. Maintain and nurture relationships throughout institutions; overcome obstacles to gain access to healthcare providers and customers. Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and top priority customers. Assess needs of target physicians/accounts and address needs with a responsive approach, targeted skills, and appropriate resources. Demonstrate superior selling, technical and relationship-building skills; engage, influence and support customers throughout the selling process. Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and embrace new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment. Operate effectively in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources to meet customer needs and deliver results. Qualifications BA/BS degree from an accredited institution. Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary. Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards. Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or minimum of 4 years of Oncology HCP experience with key oncology thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations. Demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience; ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information to a wide range of customers. High degree of business acumen and proficiency with complex digital applications; ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology model. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience. Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) degree. Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers and Key Opinion Leaders. Functional / Technical Skills Promote broad portfolio of products; strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products. Knowledge of customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations). Generate demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts. Strategic account selling and management; develop territory/account/customer plans to drive objectives. Maintain relationships within institutions; overcome access barriers to healthcare providers. Build relationships with KOLs and top priority customers; assess needs and address with appropriate resources. Excellent selling, technical, and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and influence customers through the selling process. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments; work effectively in a matrix environment. Other Details Territory includes Washington, DC, Northern VA, Baltimore, and Western MD. Relocation may be offered based on business needs and eligibility. Salary: The annual base salary ranges from $101,500 to $245,400. During initial training, you will be classified as a salaried non-exempt employee eligible for overtime; after training and certification, you will become overtime-exempt. This position offers an additional Sales Incentive bonus.
