Sr. Mechanical Inspector
As a Sr. Mechanical Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our electro/mechanical products. You will perform a wide range of inspections, following IPC-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 requirements. Your expertise in wiring, soldering, and understanding of IPC standards will be essential in conducting inspections in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing work instructions, and industry best practices.
Location: Farmingdale, NY
Wage Information: $24.00 - $31.00 Per hour

Your Challenge: \n - Ability to meet productivity and quality goals.
\n \n - Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and complex blueprints.
\n \n - Inspect products using precision measuring tools (calipers, thread gages, go, no-go gages etc.)
\n \n - Operate Micro-Hite, Romer Arm and Optical Comparator measurement equipment.
\n \n - Perform Optical Comparator inspections using existing inspection programs.
\n \n - Prepare detailed inspection reports.
\n \n - Perform incoming quality inspection on electro/mechanical parts in accordance with engineering blueprint drawings and Mil-Standard requirements.
\n \n - Read and interpret vendor certifications for completeness and accuracy in accordance with imposed quality clauses.
\n \n - Perform complex inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings.
\n \n - Inspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements.
\n \n - Generate non-conforming material reports (NMRs)
\n \n - Must be able to interpret manufacturing work and quality inspection instructions .
\n \n - Prepares product verification documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.

Your Expertise: \n - Technical/Trade school required. 2-year associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar field preferred.
\n \n - In-depth understanding of relevant manufacturing standards (such as IPC-A-610) or common mechanical techniques (such as geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices)
\n \n - Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.) to verify mechanical part compliance.
\n \n - Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify parts dimensions against drawing requirements.
\n \n - Experience using a Micro-Hite, Romer Arm and Optical comparator or other complex inspection systems is desired.
\n \n - Prepares product verification documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
\n \n - Must be a US citizen and eligible to obtain DOD Security clearance.
