Payroll Administrator: I-Solutions
I-Solutions is part of GBA Companies network of services which provides unique project solutions to the infrastructure market. We provide general contracting, construction and design-build services when managing multi-trade infrastructure construction projects. From emergency repairs to demolition and maintenance, our knowledge and passion ensures projects are repaired faster, safer, and more efficiently.
We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator. This is a new position to support continued company growth. This individual will work on a wide variety of job responsibilities with a positive customer focus assisting both internal employees and external clients. Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for union and non-union entities with weekly pay cycles
Review and verify timesheets, addressing discrepancies with employees for timely resolution
Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal tax, wage and hour laws requirements and best practices
Facilitates employee understanding of payroll procedures; point of contact for questions and requests from both internal and external parties.
Collaborates with other departments including HR to ensure all team member payroll and benefit related matters are accurately and timely handled
Provides records and documentation for annual audits
Protects and maintains the privacy of employment and payroll records and information
Identifies, recommends and incorporates updates to payroll processes and procedures
Interact with employees to resolve payroll issues
Assist in the preparation of payroll reports
Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies
Maintain employee confidence by protecting confidential information
Perform account reconciliations
Compliance reporting to municipalities and unions
Perform general administrative duties as assigned
Assist with various other projects as assigned
Requirements:
Associates degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, preferred
At least 5 years of payroll experience
Engineering, Construction or professional services industry, preferred
ComputerEase, Paycom HR/Payroll system experience, preferred
Knowledge of payroll taxes and regulations
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Dependable with the ability to work overtime when necessary to fulfill responsibilities
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing in a way that facilitates an interactive dialog with employees as well as management
Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged period of time
